CO2 Automatic Fire Suspension System

 

Brief instruction:

Carbon dioxide fire extinguishing system is a most popular and modernized fire fighting equipment at present. CO2 extinguishment has the advantages of non-toxic, unpolluted to equipment and good isolation performance.

 

 

The carbon dioxide fire extinguishing system of our company is a storage system under normal atmospheric temperature. It is composed of auto alarm controller, reservoir, valve driving device, selector valve, non-return valve, pressure signaler, weighing device, frame, spraying nozzle and ductwork. The ways of extinguishments are classified as: full-cover protection and partial protection. Unit independent system and combination allocation system may be composed according to the requirement of user and the need of project for fire protection of one area and several areas respectively. It has the advantages of complete designed parameters, perfect functions, accurate and reliable operation, simple installation and commissioning, and convenient operation and maintenance. It is applicable to the fire protection of many important places such as computer room, library, archives, treasure house, power distribution room, and telecommunication center.
 
Working principle :
I.           Auto control: The extinguishing system will be on auto control condition when the selected key of control method in the fire alarm control panel is on auto position. In case of fire in a protective area, smoke and heat detector will send fire signal and horn alarm signal after pass the logic analysis of fire alarm control panel, and send combined instruction at the same time, close the relevant equipment. It will send extinguish instruction after the delayed time, open the starting valve to release starting gas, and open the relevant valves through starting pipe, release extinguishment and extinguisher.
II.         Electric manual control: It will be on manual control condition if the selected key is on manual position. Press the manual control box or starting button of control panel when there is a fire in protective area, it can start the system to release extinguishment according to the started process, and extinguish. It also can start on auto control condition.
III.        Mechanical emergency manual control: All people should be notified to leave the locale and close the combined equipments when there is a fire in protective area and the control panel can’t send an extinguish instruction. Put out safety pin of relevant solenoid valve, press it’s button to open the starting valve, release starting gas, now the selector valve and valve of cylinder can be open, release extinguishment and extinguish. If it can’t work because of maintenance and refilling starting gas, please open the relevant handle of selector valve, expand the arm to open selector valve, and open the valve of cylinder with it’s manual button, release agent and extinguish.
IV.      In case of fire, if there is exceptional situation in the delayed time, please press emergency stop button on the manual control box or control panel to prevent the sending of extinguish instruction, not need to start extinguishing system.
 
Inspection & maintenance :
I.           It is one new type of high-effective extinguishing device with high automatization, strict with sealing performance. It must be built the related maintenance system, maintenance and inspect regularly to keep the good working condition by the appointed person.
II.         The inspector must know well its performance parameter, working process, construction principle of other valve. You also can come to our factory to study if it is necessary.
III.        In inspection, it should be refilling if the pressure of driving cylinder is lower than 90% of rated pressure.
IV.      Inspect the weight of agent once annual, and refill when it reduces 10% in time.
V.        Check the accessory annual and use continuously without any unconventionality.
VI.      Do a 24MPa strength test and 13.2MPa airproof test on hose every 5 years, and use continuously if it passes.
VII.     Check whether the support condition of cylinder is well, and whether the bracket and hook of pipe is firm annual.
VIII.   Check the piping nozzle with compressed air or N2 every 3 years.
IX.       Do an airproof test on piping system every 5 years, and the test pressure is suitable for the design requirement.
X.        Check whether the cylinder has any corrosion and machine scathe, do a 22.5MPa strength test and use continued if it passes.
XI.       Do a strength and airproof test on the accessory of cylinder every 5 years.
XII.     The following parts can be used continuously when they come back to the original position to ensure normal working after this system used:
           i.           Control panel
         ii.             Piston of pressure switch
        iii.             Replace the new diaphragm of driving valve
       iv.              Refill N2 in the driving cylinder and filling pressure is 4MPa
         v.             Put down the arm of released selector valve, and press the piston to come back
       vi.              Non-return valve
      vii.              Replace sealed diaphragm and resume the working position of valve.
    viii.               Refilling the agent according to the design requirement
        ix.             It must be installed correctly and ensured the seal to all connection of hose and driving pipe.
XIII.     During the inspection and maintenance, the buyer can ask the manufacturer to help to solve the problem if it is necessary.
XIV. It should be done a record with details on inspection, maintenance and test.
 
Note:
I.           The installation place should be suitable for the following requirement:
           i.              Environment temperature: 0~49, and keep it dry and breezy.
         ii.              There should be no explosive and conductive dusty and corrosive material, or it should be protected to avoid shake and impact.
        iii.              CO2 cylinder assembling should be installed in a room with easily close, in and out, and it is not easy to cause a fire.
       iv.              The brackets of cylinder assembling must be confirmed by age bolt.
II.         It should be installed and ran by the appointed person passed professional study.
III.        The person installed and tested this device should know well it’s basal structure, working principle, performance, working process, and the structure and working condition of other valve.
IV.      It is forbidden to connect the pipe of driving device during at installation and before delivery.
V.        Before spraying agent, all people must leave locale at delayed time and enter after the fire is put out and discharged the exhaust gas with initiating fan.
VI.      Keep the cylinder away the heat place, and unload lightly to avoid impact during at transit.
VII.     Replace new diaphragm and safety film that provide by manufacturer, and don’t replace with other untested ones.
VIII.    It should be avoid impacting the surface to affect the outlook at installation and unload.
IX.       Don’t touch and move any accessory at hazard to avoid accident.
